That’s not as bad as me – I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday. I knew better, but the memory register kept putting out Friday, and the F6 key is now a smoothed-off lump. Obviously, my Innkeeper withdrawals are reaching a crisis. Had to distract myself this morning emplacing 100 grass plugs. I finally found a grass that doesn’t care about being in the shade most of the time – dwarf Kentucky Bluegrass. Am slowly reclaiming the middle of the yard where tree shade has resulted in bare dirt = erosion, etc. Turns out this us also what most if the NFL uses as its grass because it spreads through the root system, never grows higher than 8″, and once established is tough as nails in regard to traffic. Only trick is, it takes 2 years to really get established. Figure another couple of years, and the back yard will have grass everywhere, and pretty much no water erosion when hard rains come. Now if I can just get the mosing crew to NOT it the new mint plants with weed-eater….May 11, 2018 at 1:25 pm #573
I have been trying to figure out how to create a topic, and so far I don’t see anything that applies. Not usually a forum for anything user and this is verra confusing. It seems all one can do is reply to a post unless you have a higher level of arcaqne forum knowledge than I do. Help? Is there a form help site or control?May 11, 2018 at 1:33 pm #574
So far my impression is that the forum method has a high PITA factor and not a lot of organized communicating. I prefer the chapter comments so far. Will give it a go, but the few I have looked into before had an explanatory how to type thread at the beginning. Without that, its like throwing a note in a bottle and praying it shows up somewhere where it makes sense before the forum has moved on too far for it to be relevant, Political trolls tried to latch on immediately. a rather pathetic attempt to co-opt something supposed to be for fun and book discussion. Not political infighting. May the trolls stay far far away. Like pinworms they are everywhere.May 12, 2018 at 2:30 am #591
I’m also in the UK and mostly lurk too.
Given that I’m pretty sure it’s past bedtime in the USA I’m guessing we may not get this week’s until Monday *sighs*. I swear the authorlords do it on purpose,
they must like the server load from all the refreshesI think they like to check our commitment to the story 🙂
This has to be easier to read than all the comments though and does it mean that we won’t lose all the commentary and thoughts once the book is withdrawn for editing and release?May 12, 2018 at 8:11 am #596
I start checking Friday morning, than when it’s not there, Friday noon, if not there, maybe 3, than early evening…. than figure Saturday morning it will be there, it should be there. Here it it 9:06 AM ET and IT’S NOT THERE. I’m dying here waiting for the next piece. I want the actions from the lantern walk to take place, Maud to persevere brilliantly strategically and tactically. No wars started but to unmask the plot and save the House.May 12, 2018 at 9:08 am #597
This Sunday is Mother’s day in the U.S. which with her recovering from the crud probably means that they took it off. I think that is a good thing for them. I mean they just finished the Hugh book which comes out next month.May 12, 2018 at 3:10 pm #598

A Maud snippet from Ilona 😊http://www.ilona-andrews.com/why-does-it-take-so-long/comment-page-2/#comment-278035May 13, 2018 at 6:30 am #604
Hi Nelson, I’m here looking at it but not quite sure what to do with it. [Scratches head]. Ilona replied to a post of mine in the latest chapter that she’s OK with us going off in a 100 different directions as long as Innkeeper is central. Not really sure what I’d post here.May 21, 2018 at 2:54 pm #665
Oh ze pun, ze pun, zipline….:) Very nice. All punning aside, I shall lurk here on and off just to make sure I don’t miss any relevant postings (after we pass 1000 on the blog it gets hard to scroll through on the phone, and I’m stuck on the computer after that. I find it much much faster on the computer to locate things, just a bit less immediate gratification than using the phone to access the internet.
