Sorry for being scarce. We had some a health scare in the family, and getting an appointment to a specialist on short notice now is like trying to escape Hades – very difficult and requires dodging Cerberus. It was moved 3 times, and we finally had to look all around until we found someone 40 miles away. We have a diagnosis now, and we are all very happy it wasn’t worse. Kid health problems are the hardest to deal with.
Also, Texas says hello.
Yes, he is alive and stinging the heck out of those forceps. This is how far we came – from freaking out and frantic stomping to plucking them with forceps and throwing them out. Gordon threw that one on the road. It ran around so it was uninjured.
Come to the Hill Country. You too can pluck scorpions from your screens and corners. We will give you forceps as a house warming present.
Due to the challenging nature of the last few weeks, I reinstalled House Flipper, where I buy dirt-cheap gross shacks, remodel them, and then sell them to NPCs who have ridiculous requirements. I was virtually mowing the lawn in preparation for my open house. Kid 1 saw me, had a fit of giggles, and told me, “Mom, you’re so funny. You’re playing lawn mower simulator.”
Just wait until you have kids, and they have medical emergencies. Talk to me about lawn mower simulators then. Hmph.
Now that we have established my terrible uncoolness, I also started a cross stitch project because apparently pretty floss colors are therapeutic and I find repeatedly stabbing things with sharp objects soothing. I will post pictures when there is something more than random confetti stitches on the canvas.
My productivity is in the toilet, but I will try to ramp it up in the next few days. We have 1/3 of the debate done. Unessa is a trip.
Well, that’s it for me. Hang in there.
